How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I have been in the funeral industry since 1997. Throughout my career, I have explored various facets of the funeral industry, embracing different roles and responsibilities. This experience has granted me an understanding of the industry as a whole.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I have a genuine affinity for assisting and engaging with people. I firmly believe that every interaction we have, regardless of the context, holds the potential to make a difference, be it positive or negative. It is often the little things that have the power to create a meaningful impact. Rather than viewing it as a job, I perceive my role as a means of aiding and supporting the members of my community.
Dorothea assisted my dad and me the whole way when organising my mum’s funeral. She was always clear, transparent and pointed out every step in the process to ensure I understood everything. She always rang me with updates in the lead up to the funeral, which helped me a lot to plan other activities with friends and family members.
