How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I joined the Guardian Funerals team 15 years ago after working as a nurse in aged care. I am incredibly proud of the service we provide to local families.

What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
Being a funeral arranger allows me to be involved in my community and connect with families during an incredibly challenging time. It enables me to provide them with help and support, making a lasting impact on their lives.

What do you like about your local area?
Merrylands has a diverse community with a vibrant blend of nationalities and cultures. I take great pleasure in engaging with local families, conversing with them about their backgrounds, and gaining insights into their unique life journeys. The multicultural fabric of the area creates a rich tapestry of diverse individuals, which I find incredibly fascinating.

What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
One of the most remarkable funerals I arranged was for a teenage boy who was an avid skateboarder. To honour his life, we decided to hold the service at his beloved skate park, and it drew a crowd of several hundred people. Though it was a deeply sorrowful occasion, I was proud to assist the family in creating a service that truly reflected the young man's life and passions.
